1、 Electrochemical testing equipment

1. Battery charging and discharging tester


Function: Simulate the charging and discharging process of batteries under different working conditions, test parameters such as capacity, energy density, and charging and discharging efficiency.


Application: Evaluate battery performance, lifespan, and safety.


Example: Multi channel charge and discharge testers from brands such as Arbin and Neware.


2. Electrochemical workstation


Function: Conduct cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and other tests to analyze the internal reaction mechanism of the battery.


Application: Study the performance of electrode materials, interface reactions, and battery aging mechanisms.

2、 Environmental simulation equipment

1. High and low temperature test chamber


Function: Simulate different temperature environments (-40 ℃ to 150 ℃) to test the performance of batteries under extreme temperatures.


Application: Evaluate the reliability of batteries in scenarios such as low-temperature start-up and high-temperature storage.


Example: Environmental testing chambers from brands such as ESPEC and binder.


2. Constant temperature and humidity chamber


Function: Control temperature and humidity (such as 25 ℃/60% RH), simulate actual usage environment.


Application: Study the influence of humidity on battery performance, such as corrosion, leakage, etc.




3、 Security testing equipment

1. Battery safety tester


Function: Conduct safety tests such as needle punching, squeezing, overcharging, and overdischarging to assess the risk of thermal runaway of the battery.


Application: Ensure that the battery meets safety standards (such as UL, IEC).

2. Thermal runaway testing system


Function: Monitor the temperature and pressure changes of the battery under thermal abuse conditions, and analyze thermal runaway behavior.

4、 Material analysis and characterization equipment

1. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)


Function: Observe the microstructure of electrode materials, such as particle size and morphology.


Application: Study the relationship between material properties and battery performance.


2. X-ray diffractometer (XRD)


Function: Analyze the crystal structure of electrode materials.


Application: Determine material composition and phase transition process.


3. Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS)


Function: Detect the content of trace elements in battery materials.


Application: Quality control and impurity analysis.




5、 Battery manufacturing and assembly equipment

1. Electrode coating machine


Function: Uniformly coat the active substance onto the current collector to prepare electrode sheets.


Application: Laboratory scale battery prototype production.


2. Battery packaging machine


Function: Encapsulate electrodes, separators, and electrolytes into battery cells or modules.


Application: Packaging for soft pack batteries, cylindrical batteries, etc.




6、 Auxiliary equipment

1. Electronic balance


Function: Accurately weigh electrode materials, electrolytes, etc. (accuracy 0.01mg).


Application: Formula development and quality control.


2. Glove box


Function: Provide an inert gas (such as Ar) environment to prevent the electrolyte from reacting with moisture.


Application: Battery assembly and sensitive material handling.


3. Gas detector


Function: Monitor combustible gases (such as H ₂) or toxic gases (such as CO) in the experimental environment.


Application: Ensuring experimental safety.




The equipment selection for the battery laboratory should be comprehensively considered based on the research direction (such as material development, battery testing, safety assessment) and experimental scale (laboratory level or pilot level).
