ELOT certification
ELOT can be applied to certification procedures and systems (such as ISO certification system).
According to Law 1682/1997 and Presidential Decree 155/1997 on the Integration and Regulation of the Standardization Organization of Greek Companies, Decree 372/76 on the Establishment and Operation of ELOT entrusts ELOT with the development of certification activities. According to the Ministerial Resolution signed by the Ministry of Development on the Certification Procedure of the Greek Company Standardization Organization, ELOT can be applied to certification procedures and systems (such as ISO certification system). Under this program, ELOT grants certification certificates, which are known as ELOT certification certificates, indicating that products, programs, behaviors, organizations, systems, and individuals comply with regulatory requirements.
For those that comply with Greek standards, European standards (EN), European Experimental Standards (CEN), Coordination Document (HD), European Telecommunications Standard (ETSI), testing products of the European Telecommunications Standard (I-ETS), awarded by ELOT, The conformity mark issued by CEN, CENELEC, or ETSI is called the Greek conformity mark.
ELOT is a joint certification organization authorized to issue these identifiers.
ELOT also uses its equipment and personnel, or approved third-party partners, to be responsible for sampling, testing, inspecting, and evaluating processes and systems.
Product Certification
In the general principles, product certification includes product certification schemes, product certification, and specific rules for each product, which are developed based on ISO/IEC guidelines and ISO 45000 series standards.
ELOT has developed and implemented certification schemes for the following areas, including household appliances, cables, steel for reinforced steel, asbestos cement, tiles, bathroom products, concrete, switches, etc.
