The following is the operating procedure framework for the voltage fluctuation testing laboratory, developed in conjunction with safety regulations and technical requirements for reference:
Operating procedures for voltage fluctuation testing laboratory
1、 Preparation before testing
1. Environmental inspection
Ensure that the laboratory temperature and humidity meet the equipment requirements (typically 20 ± 5 ℃, humidity ≤ 75% RH).
Check if the ground insulation pad and emergency exit passage are unobstructed, and equip with fire extinguishing equipment.
2. Equipment inspection
Confirm the calibration validity period of the testing host (such as voltage sag generator, programmable power supply), oscilloscope, data acquisition system and other equipment.
Check if the wiring terminals of the tested equipment (EUT) are securely fastened to avoid poor contact.
Verify that the resistance value of the grounding system is ≤ 4 Ω and that there is no risk of short circuit in the test circuit.
3. Personnel protection
Operators need to wear insulated gloves (withstand voltage level ≥ test voltage), goggles, and anti-static clothing.
No individual operation is allowed, at least 2 people should collaborate (1 person for operation and 1 person for supervision).
2、 Testing process
1. Parameter settings
According to standards such as GB/T 17626.11 and IEC 61000-4-11, set the voltage fluctuation type as follows:
Voltage sag: amplitude (10%~90% rated voltage), duration (0.5 cycles~1 minute).
Voltage interruption: complete power outage, duration (0.5 cycles~3s).
Voltage surge: amplitude (110%~180% rated voltage), duration (0.5 cycle~1s).
Select the testing mode (single-phase/three-phase unbalanced simulation).
2. Wiring specifications
The tested equipment is connected to the testing circuit through an isolation transformer to avoid direct connection to the mains power.
Use shielded cables to reduce electromagnetic interference, with cable length ≤ 2m.
The emergency stop button is placed within reach.
3. Test execution
Pre testing: Verify the functionality of EUT with minimal fluctuations.
Formal testing: Gradually increase the fluctuation amplitude or duration, record EUT outliers (such as restarts, data loss).
Monitoring parameters: Real time observation of voltage waveform, peak current, and equipment temperature.
4. Data recording
Save oscilloscope screenshots and voltage/current waveform data (sampling rate ≥ 1MHz).
Fill in the test log, including time, environmental parameters, and device status description.
3、 Safety precautions
1. Prohibited behavior
Touch exposed wires or adjust device parameters during testing.
Overload operation testing equipment (such as exceeding 80% of rated power).
2. Emergency response
Equipment malfunction: Immediately press the emergency stop button to cut off the main power supply.
Personnel electrocution: Use insulated tools to cut off the power supply and avoid direct contact.
Fire risk: Use carbon dioxide fire extinguishers and avoid using water to extinguish fires.
4、 Operation after testing
1. Device reset
Return the testing equipment to its factory default settings and turn off the output switch.
Disconnect the EUT connection and check for internal overheating or component damage.
2. Data organization
Analyze the test results and generate a report (including waveform diagrams, anomaly descriptions, and conclusions).
Backup the original data to a dedicated server with a retention period of ≥ 5 years.
3. Maintenance and upkeep
Clean the heat dissipation port of the testing equipment and regularly check the aging condition of the capacitors.
Verify the accuracy of key instruments quarterly and conduct comprehensive maintenance and testing of the system annually.
5、 Appendix
·Reference standards: List applicable national or international standards (such as GB/T 17626 series, IEC 61000 series).
·Equipment List: Clearly specify the testing system model, range, and calibration cycle.
·Emergency Plan Flowchart: Illustrated display of the steps for handling unexpected situations such as electric shock and fire.
Note: This regulation needs to be adjusted according to the specific equipment and testing objects in the laboratory, and revised regularly (annually) in conjunction with new standards. Operators must undergo specialized training and pass the assessment before they can take up their posts.
