On February 26, 1986, AENOR was designated to carry out these activities by order of the Ministry of industry and energy in accordance with royal decree 1614 / 1985, and was recognized as a standardization body and as a certification body by royal decree 2200 / 1995, which was issued by industrial law 21 / 1992.
In Spain, AENOR is the certification leader. It has issued nearly 18000 ISO9001 quality management certificates, more than 3000 ISO14001 environmental management certificates and nearly 72000 products with AENOR logo.
