CSA international has four laboratories in Canada. From 1992 to 1994, they were officially recognized by the occupational safety and health administration of the U.S. Department of labor (OSHA). According to OSHA rules, after obtaining this approval, it can be used as a national recognized test laboratory to test and certify a series of products in accordance with more than 360 American ANSI / UL standards. CSA marking applies to Canadian Standards Association for registration. After the unit approves the safety and authorization of the product, CSA marking can be attached to the product.

technological process
1. Fill in the preliminary application form and submit it to CSA international together with the instructions and technical data of all relevant products (including all electrical components and plastic materials).
2. CSA international will determine the certification fee according to the specific conditions of the product, and then notify the applicant company by fax.
3. After confirmation by the applicant company, a formal application form and a notice will be sent, including the following requirements:
(1) After the formal application form is signed, the telegraphic transfer certification fee (which can be paid in RMB) will be sent to the office.
(2) Send the test template to the designated place according to the notice.
4. The designated laboratory will carry out certification on time.
5. After the certification test, the applicant company will be sent a preliminary report (findings letter), which is detailed as follows:
(1) How to improve the product structure to meet the standards.
(2) Other information to be used to complete the certification report.
(3) Please review the contents of the draft certification record
(4) Shipping marks required for CSA certification and methods for obtaining shipping marks.
(5) Factory tests required for the product.
6. CSA international will evaluate the applicant's response to item 5 above.
7. At the same time, CSA international will prepare a certification report for product production reference and tracking inspection.
8. At this stage, under certain circumstances, CSA international will go to the factory for initial factory evaluation (IFE).
9. Finally, CSA international will issue a certificate of compliance together with the certification record to authorize the applicant company to add the CSA certification mark on its products.
10. The applicant company shall sign a service agreement with CSA international to indicate that both parties agree that CSA international will go to the factory for product tracking inspection. The applicant company shall pay an annual fee to maintain the agreement.

ways and means
CSA certification procedure is very flexible, and its methods and steps are different according to different products.
1. According to the specification and model. For example, certification for each specification is both expensive and time-consuming. Therefore, for products with the same purpose and different specifications, one or two representative ones can be selected for certification. Such as 1-100 kW motor, this can be done.
2. According to the special requirements of users, do certification for a certain product. For example, for industrial switches, according to the user's opinions, if the products produced by the manufacturer are different from the products originally designed, they can be certified according to the user's requirements.
3. Certification of large equipment. For example, large equipment produced by several enterprises can be assembled together and certified at the assembly site.

The certification method commonly used by CSA is divided into four steps:
1. Pre certification analysis. After submitting the application, the applicant shall analyze whether the information about the product provided by the applicant is complete and whether the sample meets the requirements.
2. Pre test analysis. The Certification Engineer determines the test items and draws up the test procedures.
3. Test according to procedures and projects.
4. Analysis after laboratory test. The certification engineer will analyze the test results and meet with the applicant. If the test results are consistent with the requirements, the certification work will come to an end, and the applicant's certification certificate can be issued.

1. CSA international logo with us or NRTL indicates that the product meets the applicable standards of the United States and can enter the U.S. market.
2. CSA international logo with sanitation indicates that the product meets the necessary conditions of NSF / ANSI applicable standard for food equipment in the U.S. market. The manufacturer can also choose to display the corresponding NSF / ANSI standard under the CSA mark.

Applicable to the U.S. and Canadian markets:
CSA international logo with C-US or NRTL / C indicates that the product has passed the test, meets the applicable standards of the United States and Canada, and can enter both markets at the same time.
CSA mark of gas products
US market gas products:
The blue star sign indicates that the gas appliance product meets the applicable standards for the use of gas or other fuels in the United States. Please refer to the gas appliance certification program for details. If the product has multiple properties, this sign means that the product meets all application standards.
CSA logo for Canada
For the Canadian market:
The CSA international logo without other symbols itself indicates that the product complies with the applicable Canadian standards. If the product has multiple properties (e.g. electrical equipment has combustion function at the same time), this sign means that the product meets all application standards.
Gas appliance products in Canadian market:
CSA international blue flame logo indicates that the product meets the Canadian market standards for products using gas or other fuels. If the gas product has electrical characteristics, the sign also indicates that the gas appliance meets the applicable electrical standards.
Electrical products in Canadian market: EEV mark indicates that the products are certified to meet CSA international standards for energy efficiency and performance.
Canadian forest products: this series of marks indicates that the raw materials of this product (or part of the product or a series of products) comply with Canada's forest sustainable management standard (can / CSA z809).
Canadian Carrier Safety Management: this sign indicates that the carrier has developed safety management system documents to control the safety of means of transport and goods.
