The "mandatory" in Israeli compulsory certification needs to be understood from many aspects. The "industry, trade and labor department" of Israel calls this certification procedure "pressure of conformity". The goods are inspected in batches, that is, each imported goods must be inspected. The test certificate issued by the last inspection can be used for the next goods inspection, but it can not directly replace the current goods inspection, which will only shorten the stay time of the goods in the customs, In order to save some customs stagnation costs for customers (usually SII cargo inspection time is about 40 days).
After the above goods inspection, the products do not belong to the scope of compulsory certification in inland Israel, so it is not necessary to apply for SII product certification. The product supplier can also directly issue SII goods inspection and test certificate to the Israeli importer to prove that the products meet the requirements of its Israeli standards. If the applicant needs to apply for "standard mark" and "safety mark", he / she needs to accept the annual product retest and factory inspection of SII organization. The factory inspection is directly carried out by SII organization in the factory, and does not accept the factory inspection of other organizations. Although the applicant has obtained the SII safety mark, it can not avoid each cargo inspection entrusted by the customs to the SII agency, nor can the SII certificate be used to shorten the stay time in the customs.
